After much anticipation and coaching, it is time to finally reveal Miss Beccy Turner and her fabulous “new” skin. If you recall from my previous blog, Miss Turner’s first facial was back in December ’12 and last week her most recent facial. The last 9 months have been a remarkable journey for the two of us and at this point I would like to thank personally Miss Turner’s incredible support network in giving her the strength to remain positive and to continue through this personal life changing moment. I am so very proud of you Beccy… Congrats!!!
Miss Turner’s skin before/during the past 9 months.

I have not really deviated too much from her original programme, but have dropped the sensitive range for the normal range from REN Skincare.
The reason being that Miss Turner’s skin was no longer angry, inflamed or reactive. In 9 short months, Miss Turner’s skin was in complete bliss with not only the right product selection but also the right selection of ingredients, and for this simple reason is why I absolutely love and adore the brand REN ‘-) REN Skincare truly delivers performance, purity and pleasure in every product.
An updated report from Miss Turner on her progress:
31.05.13: Day after what seemed more like a therapy session for my face and mind! Amazing, feeling refreshed and looking forward! My skin quality has improved and changed, I did notice it was a little dryer in certain places. The products I’m currently on are helping to bring back the glow but there is no inflammation or redness. Rui immediately gave me a concentrate moisturiser to address these new issues that are surfacing…
Results: AMAZING a quick dab to freshen me up and it’s light in texture too!
10.06.13: I still get the odd angry spot which frustrates me at no end, but as my best friend keeps telling me ‘we all get the odd spot .You can’t expect to be 100% clear’. What I can be thankful for is that my complexion is no longer desperately dry or old-looking and when I do get spots I can cover them easily. Also, with the use of the REN Clarity Restoring Mask (this is so much better for my skin than putting the over-the-counter spot inflammation cream) it helps calm down the skin and I dab it on the bigger spots and go to sleep with it on!
17.06.13: Fresh faced… and ready for anything… nearly. I’m not spending hours putting my make-up on in the mornings. No more layers of moisturiser, primers, foundations, powders… I stick to my old faithful foundation or when I’m feeling brave I sweep on a mineral based powder or my BB cream. I now have more time to worry about my hair or what to wear…. Amazing where the time goes.
24.06.13: Putting my make-up on is no longer a chore; I don’t wake up in the mornings feeling tight or any redness from the night before. No more harsh spot creams. In fact, I realised I haven’t had this for a long time and it’s only due to a tiny spot that freaks me out. I have realised just how clear and manageable my skin is and how I must not take it for granted!
I don’t have lines and wrinkles around my eyes or forehead to the extent I did before. I feel and look younger, or rather I don’t look and feel older.
My pores are much better; whilst I still have a few blackheads on my nose and chin. This is a small price to pay; whilst my overall skin is moisturised and fuller.
08.07.13: It’s now the week before my final facial. I am slightly excited/nervous. My scarring has reduced which is one of my biggest concerns so looking after my skin from both the inside (healthy eating, cutting out dairy, balanced life) and the outside is paying off. One annoying thing – A few spots on my cheek have arisen which I can only put down to the sun cream. Recently we have had the honour of some amazing sunshine over the past 2 weeks and having really fair skin means a factor of 15 doesn’t quite cut it!

Final words from Miss Turner:
“Honestly, for the first time in months, maybe even a year I don’t require layers of make-up, in fact I’m choosing to go to a party with only mascara and a touch of blush… and if I run into ‘said people’ all the better! My handbag is not weighed down by concealer, foundation and primer and I am not constantly reaching for a mirror or catching my reflection in a window to retouch. In fact out of habit I find myself with a mirror in hand about to retouch my make-up and realise I don’t need to! Great! I also notice that I wear my hair pulled back a lot more these days, not as conscience and feeling more confident, even at the gym!
I feel like I have more freedom and fun when I’m out now. My confidence is growing and my skin feels like my own. Rui has really helped me understand my skin better and to treat it with the respect and love it deserves!”
What a total and drastic difference. Not only has the skin dramatically improved in texture, clarity, hydration and tone, but Miss Turner is no longer wearing thick heavy foundation to conceal what has always been buried underneath. Just by finding a brand that works for you, a skin programme that is personalised to your skin’s specific needs and patience… anyone and everyone can have beautiful, healthy radiant skin.
My next project with Miss Turner’s skin will be to resurface (Resurfacing AHA Concentrate) with a little micro-dermobrasion (Micro Polish Cleanser) to smooth out her skin (reduce the appearance of scarring). I will be placing Miss Turner onto what we call the ‘radiance 3 month programme’ and also to keep a little watchful eye as we enter autumn.
